Theology—the study of God and his relation to, purpose for, and work within the universe that he created—matters! Sound doctrine provides us with instruction into truths we are called by God to believe, which, in turn, gives us insight and direction for how best to live our lives in a manner worthy of the gospel.
Our denomination, Sovereign Grace Churches, is a confessional family of churches. So as a local church we are committed—and accountable—to a specific statement of faith that represents a summary of the teaching of Holy Scripture on key points of doctrine essential to the beliefs, the conduct, and the witness of our church.
That being the case, this course is designed to unpack the biblical truth contained in that statement, one doctrine at a time.
